Residential service offers speech-enabled Internet content delivery over the phone; along with many other innovative features

DEMO 2006, PHOENIX, Ariz., February 8, 2006 – my people™, National availability of my people™, a next-generation residential broadband telephone service, was announced today at the DEMO 2006 conference, the leading industry forum for launching new technology products. Standing on-stage in front of influential journalists, venture capitalists, top business executives and entrepreneurs, Alan Creighton, president and CEO, demonstrated several of the innovative features offered by my people, including speech-enabled Internet content delivery and simple-to-use tools to help people stay better connected and organized.

Users are no longer required to dial numbers on a key pad. With a feature called “Speak to dial”, customers simply have to say, “376-5544” and my people will connect the line. You can also say, “call Mom” and my people will call her pre-programmed number.

Other features include:

  • My Content: my people deliver the latest news, sports, weather or horoscopes over the phone simply by picking up the phone and saying “news” or “sports” or “weather.”
  • Reminder Calls: my people call to remind you about appointments, including giving you a morning wake up call, even on your cell phone.
  • One Call, Tell All: Send one recorded message to 25 people simultaneously, eliminating the need to call each one individually.
  • Emergency Link: In the case of an emergency, my people will call a list of pre-programmed numbers, so you have confidence that your people can reach you when they need to.

One of the most valuable features of my people is human contact. Customers simply pick up their telephones and say, “customer service” and within an average of 30-seconds or less, a live operator is available on the line to answer any questions.
